Cells were cultured in medium alone or medium containing a 10-nmol/L concentration of appropriate retinoid for 16 hours.
Wild-type or RAR-α–RAR-β–RAR-γ – or RXR-α–transfectants of ATRA-resistant HL-60 (HL-60R) cells, as indicated, were used to study retinoid-induced CD38 expression. Results shown are from a representative experiment, performed in duplicate.
